Elise Stelling Jewelry

I've had a passion for making jewelry since I was a young girl. I used to love going through my Mom's treasure boxes of necklaces, earrings, and rings. I loved the shiny feel of the metals and the sparkles of the stones. When I was 12 years old I was messing with shaping brass wire into bracelets and rings, (photo left) long before it was called "wire-wrapping",  I moved to the beautiful small town of Sun Valley, Idaho in 1981 where I had the good fortune to learn the craft of metalsmithing from some amazing artists. Working as a full-time bench jeweler, my duties included, among many other tasks, casting and finishing hundreds of the world-famous 14k gold Sun Valley Sun pendants. I fabricated metals and acquired the skill for simple stone settings.

In the early 90's I met and married my husband and we were gifted a beautiful daughter. I managed our family business and it allowed me to work from home. I continued to pursue my craft on a part-time basis until our daughter was independent. Nine years ago I was introduced to Precious Metal Clay. After my first class, I was hooked. I purchased a kiln and never looked back. Two years ago I began wire wrapping, my latest passion. I weave sterling silver, fine silver, and copper wire. As you will discover most of my pieces are embellished with gemstones and beads. I will keep you updated on upcoming art festivals. I hope you like what you see!
